| First I just want to apologize in advance for any mistakes or if anything doesn't make sense, I'm typing this on my phone. Well not much of a review as I only have a couple miles with it in my trans, but so far this stuff is pretty good! Installed an SPL trans mount along with the fluid change. I was running mobil 1 MT-90 before it and was going to go with redline MT-90 until I saw the new gear oil and decided to give it a try. Shifting was pretty notchy and sometimes hard to get it into gear, with the mobil gear oil. Shockproof comes in three weights: heavyweight, lightweight and superweight. I decided with the lightweight, hopefully the best choice for the street. redline shockproof I went with lightweight because the Z is my DD and I wanted a gear oil that wouldn't give me trouble when cold. I was going to go with the heavyweight, however I read that it isn't good for street use as it makes it difficult to shift when cold. Initial thoughts of the lightweight - shifts are so much smoother and a lot easier! Trans noise was massively reduced, even with the SPL mount. I use to have a clunk whenever the trans was engaged, and now that has disappeared. Still get a small grind on the downshift from fifth to fourth, but I'm hoping this oil will help out with that after some time. The trans mount definitely increased the vibrations, but so far the noise increase isn't anything unbareable. I only notice the noise increase when listening for it, when driving it's not noticeable (might be the gear oil that is quieting it down)
